Iran – 8 Nights / 9 Days Itinerary

 

 

Day 1 – Arrival in Tehran

Arrive in Tehran, Iran’s vibrant capital, where modern life blends with deep history. After hotel check-in and some rest, explore the northern part of the city with a visit to the Sa’dabad or Niavaran Palace complex, former royal residences set against the Alborz Mountains. Continue to Tajrish Bazaar for a glimpse of local life before enjoying dinner in Darband, a lively mountain neighborhood known for its traditional restaurants and cool evening atmosphere.



Day 2 – Historic Tehran

Today is dedicated to Tehran’s cultural and historical highlights. Visit the UNESCO-listed Golestan Palace, followed by the National Museum of Iran, home to artifacts spanning thousands of years of Persian civilization. Continue to the Tehran Grand Bazaar, a bustling maze of shops and caravanserais. In the evening, enjoy panoramic city views at Tabiat Bridge, one of Tehran’s most iconic modern landmarks.



Day 3 – Tehran to Isfahan

Travel from Tehran to Isfahan by flight or train. Upon arrival, check in and relax before heading out in the evening to experience Isfahan’s famous historic bridges. Walk across Si-o-Se-Pol and Khaju Bridge, beautifully illuminated at night, where locals often gather to socialize and sing, creating a memorable atmosphere.



Day 4 – Isfahan City Highlights

Explore the heart of Isfahan at the magnificent Naqsh-e Jahan Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the stunning Imam Mosque, the elegant Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, and Ali Qapu Palace overlooking the square. Enjoy lunch at a traditional restaurant before browsing the surrounding bazaar, famous for Persian handicrafts, carpets, and miniature art.



Day 5 – Isfahan Culture & Heritage

Continue discovering Isfahan’s rich heritage with visits to Chehel Sotoun Palace and Hasht Behesht Palace, both surrounded by beautiful gardens. Later, explore the Jameh Mosque of Isfahan, an architectural masterpiece reflecting over a thousand years of Islamic design. The evening is free for leisure or optional cultural experiences such as traditional Persian music.



Day 6 – Isfahan to Shiraz

Visit the charming Armenian quarter of New Julfa, home to the historic Vank Cathedral and picturesque streets filled with cafés and galleries. Afterward, transfer to Shiraz by flight or evening journey. Upon arrival, check in and enjoy a relaxing evening in this poetic city.



Day 7 – Discovering Shiraz

Begin the day at the breathtaking Nasir al-Mulk Mosque, famous for its colorful stained glass and morning light. Continue to the Vakil Complex, including the Vakil Mosque, Bazaar, and historic bathhouse, followed by a visit to the Arg of Karim Khan. End the day at the tranquil Eram Garden, a UNESCO-listed Persian garden showcasing exquisite landscaping and architecture.



Day 8 – Persepolis & Ancient Persia

Take a full-day excursion to Persepolis, the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire and one of Iran’s most important UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Continue to Naqsh-e Rostam to see the ancient rock-cut tombs of Persian kings. Return to Shiraz in the evening and visit the tombs of Hafez and Saadi, two of Iran’s most beloved poets.



Day 9 – Departure from Shiraz

Enjoy free time for last-minute shopping, café visits, or relaxation before transferring to Shiraz International Airport for departure, concluding your unforgettable journey through Iran’s rich history, culture, and architectural wonders.
